Full Spectrum CBD

Full Spectrum CBD

CBD Isolate, Broad Spectrum, Full Spectrum, Hemp Seed Oil Extract, the world of CBD can be confusing with so many terms. We like to inspire confidence in those who come to us for their CBD needs. Here we will explain what Full Spectrum is, what the benefits are, and whether or not a full spectrum product is right for you.

What is it?

There are over 100 different phytocannabinoids that can be found in the hemp plant. Unlike the CBD isolate, these products include CBD and THC (less than 0.3%) along with many others like CBG and CBN (and many more). Phytocannabinoids stimulate the endocannabinoid system (ECS) that resides within the cells of your body, regulating many of the body’s other systems. Things like poor diet, lack of exercise, stress, and insufficient sleep can send the ECS into chaos. Phytocannabinoids are compounds found in the hemp plant that aid us in bringing our bodies and minds to homeostasis.

What’s the “Entourage Effect?”

Hemp has a wide variety of components. Of course, there’s CBD, but there are a plethora of other compounds in the plant, including CBG, CBN, CBC, less than 0.3% THC, flavonoids, terpenes, and many many more. Each is unique, bringing their benefits and what’s more, they enhance the profits of each other.

CBG – Attaches to receptors in the brain. A powerful anti-inflammatory and great for anxiety, elevating your mood, and your focus.
CBN –  This phytocannabinoid is known for its effectiveness with pain and longer, healthier sleep along with better focus to follow.
CBC – Anti-tumor, anti-inflammatory, neuro-protectant; this well-rounded phytocannabinoid is being researched for its potential use for acne.

To better understand the concept of the Entourage Effect, we can picture the cannabinoids as a group of musicians. Let’s say CBD is the lead singer; even alone, their virtue is undeniable. But when the band plays together, a bass to fill in the low notes, a guitar to fill in the high register, a keyboard to fill in the harmony and drums to maintain the groove. The results to the listener are quite often more effective in a big way.

What are Flavonoids and Terpenes?

Flavonoids and Terpenes are non-cannabinoid components of the Hemp plant. They are found in all fruits and vegetables contributing to aromas (terpenes) and their colors (flavonoids). There is a staggering variety, thousands with medicinal benefits contributing to the entourage effect. In a nutshell (a big nutshell!), flavonoids are antioxidants. At the same time, terpenes range from anti-bacterial to anti-inflammatory and more.

In our band of cannabinoids, we can picture terpenes and flavonoids as our stagehands, our gear techs, our sound engineers. While they may not be in the spotlight, they are a necessary element to bring you the show.

How is Full Spectrum CBD Made?

Full-spectrum extract is the medicine that is made by using the whole hemp plant. There are several extraction methods, but it’s essential to know how the medication you choose is processed. “Cold Pressed” products are rich with omega-6 and omega-3 but low in cannabinoids resulting in little to no interaction with the endocannabinoid system. “Ethanol Extraction” uses alcohol to draw out medicinal CBD oils while producing undesirable byproducts.

Using Carbon Dioxide (CO2) with low heat and high pressure is the safest extraction method we have today, both for you and the environment. The final product is safe, pure, and yields the highest potency for medicinal purpose. That is why we only carry tinctures and capsules made using this method.

Is Full Spectrum CBD Right For Me?

We have a father that comes in regularly, and he walks out with the full spectrum capsules. He has a 12-year-old daughter with autism who takes 2-4 a day lower the number of pharmaceuticals prescribed.

Not too long that a woman who had arthritis so bad in her knees that she barely made into the store. With one knee already replaced, she was looking for something different than what the pharmaceutical prescriptions offered for help. With our 2000mg Full-Spectrum tincture, she’s able to adjust the amount of medicine she takes in to suit her needs. Whether she needs more because of the weather or less because her inflammation isn’t so bad that day, she has total control of her intake. She no longer experiences the side effects that had been present.

There’s a countless number of people turning to CBD for numerous reasons. We often see people wanting relief but aren’t ready for a product containing any amount of THC; in these cases, the isolate is a better choice for them. However, for those that are seeking relief from more severe afflictions, we always suggest a full spectrum product.
